Vivek
Kundra - Federal Chief Information Officer
Born
in 1974, in New Delhi, India, Kundra has a wealth of experience. Unfortunately,
most of it is from bad experiences. Before being appointed by Obama, he served
in Washington D.C.'s loony
liberal mayor Adrian Fenty's cabinet as Chief Information Officer. That alone
should be cause for concern; however, it goes far deeper and far worse.
In March,
2009, Obama appointed Kundra as the Federal Chief Information Officer. The position
is supposed to secure sensitive government information. The problem is in 1995,
when Kundra was 21, he was caught shoplifting and ran from the police; hardly
a youthful indiscretion for an adult. He was convicted, but you won't find any
of this information on the White House web page.
It gets even worse. While still
serving as CIO for Washington, D.C., Kundra's office was raided by the FBI. The
investigation was for phony employees, kickbacks and payroll fraud. It focused
on two of Kundra's underlings, Yusuf Acar and Sushil Bansal.
While the FBI stated
that Kundra was neither a suspect nor a target of the investigation that resulted
in the arrests of Acar and Bansal, this shouldn't make us feel any better about
Kundra. If Kundra was in charge of these people and kept promoting Acar, how did
Kundra not know what they were doing? In other words, how can Kundra be expected
to keep sensitive information secure, if he didn't even know what was going on
right under his nose?
This is just another example of another dirt bag being
appointed by Obama as a czar who answers to no one. Maybe Obama thought the position
was for Federal Thief Information Officer?
