Stupid Obama Decisions (SOD)
Within hours of taking the oath of office, Barack Hussein Obama gave us all a glimpse of the "change" he promised for America. Stunning his supporters and confirming conservatives' nightmares, Obama is starting to realize he's in deep trouble.

Here is a list, in no particular order, of just some of the stupid decisions and executive orders Obama has made. This list will undoubtedly grow very long.

• Close the prison at Guantanamo within a year
  Not that the prison should not be closed; it's just that we're in the midst of a war on terror and these are prisoners of war, not criminals. Obama needs a place to put these terrorists who are not covered by the Geneva Convention as they were not military members of an enemy nation.
  
  Obama first suggested that they could be sent to the Camp Pendleton Marine Base in southern California. When it was pointed out that the base is home to families of Marines who were killed by these terrorists, Obama then suggested the base at Miramar. Miramar is in the middle of San Diego, a Republican stronghold.
  
  Apparently, Obama's actual agenda is to punish Republicans, not simply close Gitmo. The fact is, if we're going to keep some of these prisoners under lock and key, why wouldn't we just keep them where they are?
  
  
• Eliminate harsh interrogations of terrorists
  It seems that Obama thinks that foreign terrorists have the same rights as criminals do in the United States. He thinks that scaring them with water boarding and dogs and humiliating them is just too severe. Hey, Obama, it's not like we're cutting of body parts or burning them. These are the same SOBs that kill innocent Americans simply because they are Americans.
  
  
• Closing down anti-terror operations of the CIA
  This decision is by far the most destructive. When Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton curtailed the CIA operations we experienced the worst domestic terrorism incidents. Once President George W Bush restored operations and strengthened them, we were safe for the past seven years. Look for another major act of terror on US soil within the next few months.
  
  
• Ordering US taxpayers to fund foreign abortions
  This was aimed at appeasing his far-left kooks. Americans, the majority of which are against abortions, are being forced to fund foreign medical operations, when healthcare costs are out of control in our own country.
  
  
• Allow all records of former presidents to be released
  Of course, Obama was sure to exclude himself from this executive order. His goal was to allow the far left access to records to attack George W Bush, while Obama keeps his hands clean. Not only will this information be abused to attack Bush, but it will also enable America's enemies access to sensitive information that will threaten national security. Besides being very hypocritical, this Obama decision will come back to haunt him.
  
  
• Freeze the pay of his administration
  This is just more of Obama's symbolism over substance. All of those in his administration are wealthy no matter how you define the word. This "order" was not an order to actually freeze their pay. It was an order to produce a report on such an action. Don't look for anyone in Obama's administration to actually have their pay frozen. If Obama truly wanted to make an order for the economic wellbeing of the country, he would have ordered that no taxes be raised and no new taxes implemented.
  
  
• Transparency and open government
  Again, Barack Hussein Obama excludes himself from this order. He won't even release his birth certificate, school records, tax returns or medical records. Try doing that when you look for a job. So much for transparency in government.
  
  
• Commitment to ethical behavior by members of the Executive Branch
  This order included banning lobbyists from Obama's administration. Immediately after making this order, Obama broke it and named lobbyist William Lynn the second in command of the Pentagon as Deputy Secretary of Defense.
  
  
• Allow States to Set Their Own Auto Emissions Standards
  Reversing an earlier decision of the Bush administration, Obama is allowing California to set emissions standards beyond that of what the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires. California already has the strictest air emissions standards in the country and the highest costs for yearly registration. Since automakers can not afford to make cars with different emissions standards and California has the most car sales in the nation, every car will cost more no matter where you live. Say hello to your first Obama tax increase disguised as a state fee.
  
  
• Lifted the Decades-old Ban on Photographed Coverage of Military Caskets
  For decades, there has been a ban on allowing the media to photograph military casket ceremonies at Dover Air Force Base. Obama has reversed that ban. He is using our dead heroes to further his anti-American agenda. Obama thinks that showing caskets carrying our brave soldiers will cause the American public to lose its resolve against the war on terror. In fact it will simply embolden our enemies. Obama has no regard for our military and their families. If he truly wanted "transparency" in government, he would release his records.
  
  
• Reversed the Ban on Federal Funding of Stem Cell Research
  George W Bush banned federal funding of stem cell research and for good cause. To listen the liberal media and the whiners on the left, you'd think he had outlawed stem cell research. No, he just didn't let taxpayer money fund a boondoggle that relied on a huge supply of dead babies. Contrary to what the Obama and the left will have you think, there have been absolutely no breakthroughs in stem cell research with regards to healing paralysis, which was its main goal. As Bush correctly predicted, science found new ways to do their research and also discovered how stem cells were not all that they were cracked up to be. With Obama's reversal of the ban, stem cell research using dead babies will continue its true goal: the unnecessary killing of the unborn at taxpayer expense.
  
  
• Stop Calling Terrorists Captured on the Battlefield "Enemy Combatants"
  Obama ordered Eric Holder, his Attorney General of "nation of cowards" fame, to state that we can no longer call terrorists that were captured while engaged in battle "enemy combatants." Obama also stripped the executive branch of the power to order such people deemed to be dangerous captured and held without trial. So, are they to be called what they are, "Obama Supporters?" Of course, as everything else Obama and his minions say, this is symbolism over substance.
