Power - Foreign Policy Expert
She's
back. In another blow to Obama's motto of "change," the woman that was
forced to resign from the Obama campaign in March of 2008 for calling Hillary
Clinton a "monster," has rejoined his staff. This is getting interesting.
This
is interesting, because the rumor is that Hillary Clinton is suppose to be Obama's
Secretary of State. Why would she want to work with Power who called her a "monster?"
Apparently,
Obama only gets rid of people temporarily. If she made such a gaffe that Obama
had her exit his campaign, why allow her to return after he has won the election?
Just another poor choice of Obama's many poor choices.
It is possible that Obama
has chosen her because he doesn't want Hillary in his administration. Maybe he
knows that he can safely offer her the job knowing that she will not work with
Power.
Anyway, Power was born in 1970 in Ireland and immigrated to the United
States in 1979. She graduated from Yale. Power worked as a journalist covering
the war that resulted in the break up of Yugoslavia. Then, she turned her attention
to writing a book about genocide. Her expertise is in human rights. She demands
that there be military intervention when genocide is occurring. Ironically, she
was not in favor of the war with Saddam. Probably thousands of dead Kurds may
disagree with her. Then again, she is a liberal and hypocrisy is required as long
as it goes against America in general and Republicans specifically.
As for the
"monster" comment, it was during an interview where she was talking
about Hillary in the upcoming democrat primary in Ohio. She said, "She is
a monster, too, that is off the record, she is stooping to anything. You just
look at her and think, 'Ergh,' but if you are poor and she is telling you some
story about how Obama is going to take your job away, maybe it will be more effective.
The amount of deceit she has put forward is really unattractive." In true
Obama fashion, she apologized later that night saying that the remarks "do
not reflect my feelings about Sen. Clinton, whose leadership and public service
I have long admired." Really? Then why did you say it?
