Paul
Volcker - Economic Adviser
Born
in 1927, 81 year old Paul Volcker amplifies that Obama does not intend to bring
"change" as promised. Volcker served as the Chairman of the Federal
Reserve at the tail end of Jimmy Carter's financial ruin of the American economy
and with Reagan, until August of 1987. Reagan proved that the economy can grow
along with government revenues simply by lowering taxes on everyone.
Volcker,
a democrat, was reappointed to the position of Chairman of the Federal Reserve
by Reagan and followed Reagan's directions in bringing the economy back from the
"Misery Index" brought on by the liberal policies and weak military
from Jimmy Carter.
Supposedly, Volcker has been advising Obama on economics
during the campaign. However, it's difficult to believe that a Marxist ideology
of "spreading the wealth around" would be part of his resume. Volcker
is 81 and the Reagan Revolution was twenty years ago, so it's very possible Volcker
is just frail of mind or has fallen back into the ways of Jimmy Carter's failed
administration. After all, Obama's administration has already been deemed to be
the second term for Carter.
In any event, it's another case of Obama pulling
out an old Washington insider to join him. Liberals are irate. Conservatives are
just chuckling as the empty suit makes gaffe after gaffe. Maybe Obama just wants
to shoot hoops with him. Volcker is six foot seven inches. It should be quite
a sight to see him standing next to the runt, Rahm
Emanuel.
