Southers
has an impressive resume, until you realize that he's nothing but a product of
Affirmative Action from the late 1970's. He may be qualified, but with Affirmative
Action paving his way, no one will ever be sure.
One thing we know, Southers,
a former FBI agent and police officer, used his position of power and color (no
pun intended) of authority to spy on his then estranged wife by pulling up the
criminal records of her then boyfriend without any need to know.
More disturbing
is the fact that he lied to congress about this while being vetted for TSA top
position. Like Obama, Southers tried to hide his criminal activity by claiming
it was an "error in judgment." Southers also claimed that he simply
forgot he had done this. The biggest blemish on his record, a crimnal activity
that would end most careers, and Southers forgot about it.

That's code for Obama threw him under the proverbial bus. Obama
didn't oust Southers because Southers wasn't trustworthy. Obama did it in response
to his internal polling after democrat Martha Coakley got her political butt kicked
by conservative Republican Scott Brown in Massachusetts' senator election to fill
the seat left by the late Ted Kennedy. What the polls showed
is that the voters are sick of Obama and his policies. While healthcare was the
prominent issue, Obama's being spineless on the war on terror was also tops on
the voters' minds. After three terrorist attacks on American
soil since Obama took office, Obama can't afford the political liability of another
incompetent nomination that affects Homeland Security. President
George W Bush kept America safe since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
In less than a year, Obama allowed three more attacks. One more and Obama is out
the door. |
As with all Obama choices for czars and
his cabinet, Southers is a poor one. How can we trust someone who used his position
to look into records of a private citizen for his own personal gain and then lied
about it? After all, this is the TSA's top job. The TSA has the ability to look
into the backgrounds of passengers. This is the proverbial fox guarding the henhouse!
We
now must wonder what else Southers did for Obama during the campaign and while
Obama has occupied the Oval Office. Only an anti-American socialist such as Obama
would even nominate such a loser to this position.
Southers' career in government
and law enforcement should have been over once his criminal conduct was discovered.
Of course, "diversity," the new code word for Affirmative Action, takes
precedence over quality and integrity. It remains to be seen whether his nomination
will be confirmed.
