Desirée
Rogers - Social Secretary
Born
in 1959, Desirée Rogers graduated from Harvard Business School with an MBA
after receiving her Bachelor's degree from Wellesley College. She then went to
work for AT&T in, where else, Chicago. (AT&T is known
for its Affirmative Action policy by hiring women and minorities (Rogers is both
- a woman and half African American) and putting them on a "fast track"
hoping they will stay with the company. However, they usually leave after a year
or so leaving AT&T looking for more minorities to hire over better qualified
candidates who happen to be men; especially white, heterosexual, American men.)
Next
she worked for a developer in Illinois and later was appointed to run the Illinois
State Lottery. Gee, what are the odds? After spending about seven years there
where she helped bilk the poor and hopeless out of their last few dollars she
moved to yet another utility, People's Gas and North Shore Gas, the two utility
subsidiaries of People's Energy (PE), which also needed to prop up its corporate
officers with women and minorities. It's there that her incompetence first reared
its ugly head.

02/26/2010 Desirée Rogers announced that she is resigning
from the Obama administration. She stated that the reason was that she had completed
her mission of turning the White House into the "people's house" by
opening it up to people who are not normally able to visit. That's
a fancy way of saying that she screwed up on the job by allowing uninvited "guests"
into official White House events. Rogers' exit is really a
quiet termination by Obama. Obama can't afford any more mistakes on his watch.
There has already been three terrorist attacks on American soil in less than a
year of his inept administration; while President George W Bush kept America safe
for eight years after the terroist attack of September 11, 2001. Rogers
says she will look for more work in the corporate world. It's doubtful that her
next job will have anything to do with corporate security. Maybe she can get a
job at a party shop? |
After a couple of years there,
the Illinois Commerce Commission launched an investigation that determined 40%
of the pipes had inadequate corrosion protection. On top of that, the company
had reported positive results where the state inspectors found that there was
no monitoring equipment. Rogers was then forced to correct the problems. She was
promptly let go after PE was bought by another company a few months later.
From
there, Rogers bounced her way around other large companies in Chicago. She finally
discovered what she did best - party. She soon became friends with the Obamas.
It's funny how incompetent partiers always seem to find each other. Rogers' favorite
saying is, "laissez les bons temps rouler." This translates to let the
good times roll.
Rogers
recently allowed an unauthorized couple to crash an Obama state dinner. The
couple was photographed shaking hands with Obama and hugging Joe Biden; close
enough to have killed them with a knife from the event's kitchen. The Obama's
protected Rogers and laid the blame on three dedicated Secret Service agents.
